Many have had their skills passed down from generation to generation and practice vintage techniques to preserve the history of the boats.

A cedar canoe is one of the most expensive canoes, and also needs the most maintenance which can deter some people. Others who already own one will rave about its feel and look on the water. They can easily be repaired, each piece is natural, to give the boat many years on the water.
